OUR EDUCATIONAL VISION
Preparing Future Paramedics for Advanced Patient Care
Paramedic education represents a significant progression in emergency medical services. It requires advanced clinical knowledge, sound judgment, technical proficiency, communication, professionalism, and the ability to provide safe patient care in challenging environments.
Texas Rescue Med is developing a program framework intended to integrate rigorous academic instruction, hands-on laboratory training, simulation, supervised clinical experiences, and field education. Final curriculum content, program structure, and delivery arrangements remain subject to applicable approvals and educational decisions.
PROPOSED EDUCATIONAL GOAL
Paramedic Program Goal
To prepare Paramedics who are competent in the cognitive (knowledge), psychomotor (skills), and affective (behavior) learning domains to enter the profession.
PROGRAM DESIGN
A Comprehensive Approach to Paramedic Education
The proposed educational framework is being developed around the major learning environments and competencies associated with Paramedic preparation.
01. Academic & Clinical Knowledge
Advanced patient assessment, anatomy and physiology, pathophysiology, pharmacology, medical emergencies, trauma care, special populations, and clinical decision-making.
02. Laboratory Skills & Simulation
Structured practical education, procedure development, team-based scenarios, clinical reasoning exercises, and competency-focused assessment using appropriate training equipment and simulation.
03. Supervised Clinical Education
Planned hospital and healthcare experiences that allow students to apply classroom and laboratory knowledge under appropriate supervision, subject to executed affiliation agreements and approved program requirements.
04. Field Education & Professional Development
Planned supervised ambulance experiences focused on integrating patient assessment, clinical interventions, scene management, communication, team leadership, professionalism, and safe patient care.
These are proposed educational components, not a final course syllabus or a representation that clinical or field placements have been approved or secured.

Program Outcomes
The proposed Paramedic program has not begun instruction and therefore has no Paramedic-specific graduates or student outcome data to report.
If the program is subsequently approved and begins operation, Texas Rescue Med intends to publish applicable outcomes and required consumer information as those data become available and reporting requirements apply. No examination pass rate, graduate placement rate, retention rate, or certification outcome is currently claimed for this proposed program.
